A bit of history about our family tea gardens... Harish Bagchi relocated from Faridpur (now a part of Bangladesh) to Dibrugarh, Assam in India in the late 1800s. Over the next several decades, Mr. Bagchi and his sons acquired tea gardens around Dibrugarh. The Bagchi's over the past 7 generations have flourished in the tea business. While tea produced in the Bagchi tea gardens is generally sold to wholesalers, this shop is our attempt to sell directly to our customers.
